PopScene

PopScene helps you make original videos. We keep your data minimal, private, and in your control.

What we collect

Things you create—like videos, edits, and projects—stay on your device by default; we don’t see or use them. If you create an account or make in-app purchases, we receive basic information from Apple to provide purchases and support. If you opt in to diagnostics, we collect privacy-safe analytics and crash reports (for example, feature usage counts, device type, and iOS version), never your media.

How we use data

We use information only to run the app, process purchases, fix bugs, and provide support. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

Your media

Camera, microphone, and photo access are used solely when you choose to record or edit. If you share or back up a project—to Photos, iCloud Drive, or a social network—your content is sent to that service and handled under their policies.

Sharing with third parties

We share data only with service providers needed to operate PopScene. Apple processes App Store payments and receipts. If analytics is enabled, a diagnostics provider receives crash and usage data without media. These vendors must protect your data and use it only to deliver their services.

Your choices

You can change camera, microphone, and photo permissions in iOS Settings. You can turn analytics on or off inside PopScene at any time. You may contact us to access, correct, or delete account data we hold.

Data retention and security

We retain account and support information only as long as necessary, then delete it. Data is encrypted in transit, and platform providers such as Apple also encrypt data at rest.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and the “Effective date.”
