What devices and iOS versions does PopScene support?
PopScene runs on iPhone with [iOS 17+]. It’s optimized for recent devices and also works on iPad via compatibility mode. Camera and microphone access are required for recording.
How much does PopScene cost, and what’s included in Pro?
PopScene is [free / one-time purchase at $9.99 / subscription at $X.XX]. Pro adds advanced tools like [LUT import, finer audio controls, extra looks] with [monthly/annual] options. There are no ads and we don’t sell data.
Does PopScene store my videos on your servers or keep them on my device?
Your projects and videos live on your device by default. Nothing leaves your phone unless you choose to export, share, or back up (e.g., to Photos or iCloud Drive).
What export options are available (formats, aspect ratios, 4K, frame rates)?
Export up to 4K at [24/30/60 fps] in H.264 or HEVC. Choose common aspect ratios—9:16, 1:1, 16:9—and presets for social platforms. Pro can unlock [custom bitrates, ProRes, or advanced audio] if you decide to offer them.
Can I import existing clips, music, and LUTs into a project?
Yes. Import video from Photos/Files, add audio from Files (or the system picker), and—if you enable it—Pro supports .cube LUT import for custom color looks.
How does Beat Sync work, and can I adjust markers manually?
Beat Sync detects peaks and drops auto markers on the timeline so clips snap into rhythm. You can add, move, or delete markers at any time for precise manual timing.
Does PopScene work offline, and which features require an internet connection?
Recording, editing, and exporting are fully offline. Internet is only needed for [installing updates, optional analytics/crash reports, sharing drafts/links, iCloud backups].
What data does PopScene collect, and can I opt out of analytics?
We collect minimal diagnostics (crashes/anonymous usage) only if you opt in. Your media is never collected. You can toggle analytics on/off in Settings at any time. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I share a draft for feedback without exporting the full video?
Use Quick Draft Sharing to generate a lightweight preview [link or small file]. Friends can watch and comment without downloading the full-resolution export.
